Description
The cheapest way to use the original half sized radiator is to drill out the spot welds of the mounts, remove them, clean them up and reweld on the other side of the radiator support.
Unfortunately, if you cannot weld then this is a bit of headache.
This mount kit is an affordable solution to this – they bolt directly to the radiator support, removing the immediate need to weld anything.
Given they are made out of steel, you still have the option to spot/stitch weld them to the radiator support at a later date if you choose to.
This removes the need to remove the original mounts (messy given the three spot welds on them are the bulk of their surface…)
Comes with the hardware and grommets to mount it.
Process to install:
1. Using the radiator, mount the mount grommets/mounts to the radiator.
2. Using this combination, mark where you want the mounts to be on the radiator support.
3. Take a 1/8″ drill bit and drill pilot holes for the mounts. Enlarge to 1/2″ for final size. Insert well-nut into the drilled hole.
4. Insert bolts and tighten.
