These covers allow the cam gears to be visible, which looks awesome when the car is running.
Also helps to check on cam belt condition without having to disassemble and remove the covers. This can be particularly useful if you have adjustable cam gears and you want to keep an eye on whether the bolts have backed out.

These covers are polycarbonate and are a durable thermoplastic, both corrosion and high temperature resistant.
